Indian Kids Costume Size Guide (Sizes in Inches)

Indian kids costumes are sized in inches, not S/M/L — and a size 26 in a tracksuit is not the same fit as a size 26 kurta. This page maps every size we stock to an approximate age, category by category, so you can order once and get it right.

How to measure in 30 seconds

Stand the child straight, arms down. Measure around the fullest part of the upper body with a soft tape held snug but not tight, then add two inches for movement — that number is the size to order. If you have no tape, use the age column below; our size-to-age mapping is based on Indian school-age children and is accurate for most builds.

Tracksuits & jerseys

Sizes 20-32. Slightly loose fit so the child can run and sit cross-legged.

Between two sizes?

Go up. Costumes are worn a handful of times, usually over a school vest, and a slightly loose outfit photographs better than a tight one. The only exception is a fitted uniform-style costume — police, navy, air hostess — where the exact size looks sharper on stage.
